Sourdough cheese pizza, sliced
Classic Sourdough Loaf

Servings: 4 Small Pizzas   

Cook Time: 13-15 minutes

Ingredients

100g active sourdough starter

350g room temperature filtered water

600g bread flour

10g sea salt

25g olive oil

Pizza Dough

Directions

1. The morning of pizza night, add the ingredients to a stand mixer bowl.

2. With a dough hook, mix the dough on medium speed for about 5-8 minutes.

3. Place in an oiled bowl and cover. Rest at room temperature for about 6-8 hours. Time is dependent on temperature.

4. Preheat the oven to 475F.

5. Divide the dough into 4 equal sections (or 2 if you want larger pizzas) and allow to rest for a few minutes on the counter while you prepare your desired toppings.

6. Roll out on a lightly floured surface and create a bit of a ridge around the outer edge. 

7. Spread pizza sauce on top and add your favorite toppings.

8. Bake for 13-15 minutes

I like to use a preheated pizza stone, but you can also use a baking sheet. 

9. [Optional]: 2 minute broil to achieve the browning on top of the crust.
